Presenting 2025 Freedom Fest
IS4S and ESPN Events are proud to partner with Flags for Vets, Inc. to present Freedom Fest 2025 this Veterans Day Weekend in Opelika, Alabama! In the same spirit as the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl, this collaboration celebrates our national heroes with a weekend full of entertainment, family fun, and heartfelt tributes to the brave men and women who have served our country.
Jamie Popwell, founder and president of Flags for Vets, Inc., created and hosted the first annual Freedom Fest in November 2024, and we’re excited to build on that foundation and make this year’s celebration even grander.
The weekend will kick off on Friday, November 7th with an outdoor concert featuring The Ryan Waters Band from Nashville and local artist Blane Rudd as opener. One of the highlights of the evening will be the chance to meet several Medal of Honor recipients, giving attendees the rare opportunity to connect with these true American heroes. Their stories of selfless valor have inspired countless individuals, and we are honored to have them join us!
Saturday will be a full day of activities designed to honor our Veterans. The morning will start with a breakfast for Veterans and their families, followed by a program open to the public to offer a chance for Veterans, families, and community members to gather and connect with one another. Following the program, there will be a parade celebrating the service and sacrifice of our Veterans with marching bands, floats, and a display of patriotic pride.
A Medal of Honor recipient meet-and-greet will take place later on Saturday, allowing attendees to engage in more personal conversations with these incredible individuals.
We can’t wait to see you there and share in this special occasion to honor those who have given much for our country. Purchase your concert tickets here, see more details on the event webpage, and like the event Facebook page to get the latest updates.
