Naim Vasaya Selected for Georgia Tech Woodruff Young Alumni Council
Naim Vasaya, B.S. and M.S. Mechanical Engineering
Naim Vasaya, senior mechanical and systems engineer at IS4S's Atlanta site, has been selected as a new member of the Georgia Institute of Technology Woodruff Young Alumni Council. Established in 2023, the Young Alumni Council works to increase engagement and create opportunities for both current students and recent alumni. This year the council received “an overwhelming number of applications” and ultimately selected Naim and five other outstanding alumni to serve as the newest members.
The new council members were selected for their passion for the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, as well as their stand-out leadership, vision, and expertise in their field of study. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to give back to a school that has given me so much,” Naim said. “I am looking forward to working with all of my fellow Young Alumni Council members.”
Lindsey Thornhill, IS4S vice president and Atlanta site lead, commended the selection. “Naim is an excellent choice for serving on the Woodruff School’s Young Alumni Council,” he said. “His professionalism and work ethic make him an invaluable contributor on several programs important to both IS4S and the national security establishment. The Woodruff Young Alumni Council will benefit significantly from his exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence.”
Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, Naim!
