IS4S Awarded AI/ML Contract by AFRL
The Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) awarded the IS4S Aberdeen site a 5-year, $10M contract to support cognitive electromagnetic warfare (CogEW) research for the United States Air and Space Forces.
The focus of the program is on using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques to support assured positioning, navigation, and timing situational awareness (PNT-SA). The IS4S team will research, develop, integrate, prototype and test uses of AI/ML to provide assured PNT data in GPS-denied and contested environments across air, ground, and space. Through these efforts, IS4S is developing a new product called Modular Artificial Intelligence to Dominate Emerging Navwar (MAIDEN). MAIDEN will focus on low-SWAP signal and anomaly detection methods across ground, air, and space systems.
IS4S is an established leader in assured PNT solutions, and the Aberdeen team has been making impressive developments in the CogEW arena, with a focus on putting the power of the world’s greatest electromagnetic warfare experts into the hands of a normal user. Our nation is facing a rapidly changing threat environment which demands solutions at a much more rapid pace, and IS4S is committed to developing the best possible solutions for our warfighters.
