Senior System Engineer

IS4S is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support AMRDEC located on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Responsibilities include carrying out system engineering tasks by performing functional decomposition, deriving requirements, identifying interfaces and interface requirements, developing models in a Model Based Systems Engineering Environment (MBSE), and performing trade studies and analyses. The candidate should be capable of leading others, working in a collaborative environment, and identifying scheduling requirements. The successful candidate must also be capable of leading analyses there pertain to affordability, safety, reliability, testability, supportability, risk, system security, certification, and other specialty quality factors required for life cycle and mission success.

Qualifications:

Job Opening - Senior Software Engineer

IS4S is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the AMRDEC Software Engineering Directorate (SED) located on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The chosen candidate will be responsible design, and development of embedded software for military systems. Engineering duties will consist of design and development activities (requirements analysis, design, code, integration, test, documentation and support). Engineers will participate in software team meetings, hardware and software design reviews; technical interchange meetings, and other management meetings as needed.
Qualifications:


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline is required with 5+ years’ experience.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Must have a strong knowledge of C/C++ and experience developing software for real-time embedded systems including multi-threaded applications and event-driven software architectures.
- Candidates should have knowledge of software development processes, documentation, and CMMI.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Development experience with VxWorks or other real-time embedded operating systems.
- Experience in Agile software development
