Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction
Facilities containing chemical and biological agents pose a serious threat to the national security of the United States and to the safety of United States military personnel. IS4S personnel have extensive experience in the Counter-WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) area, including developing and demonstrating technology concepts that defeat, disrupt, or deny access to facilities storing or producing agent materials while simultaneously minimizing collateral threat due to agent release. The IS4S team has expertise in agent defeat concept development, modeling and simulation, testing, and effectiveness evaluation. We have extensive experience developing and evaluating agent defeat concepts through indoor subscale testing, and supporting full-scale weapon evaluation efforts.
For over 15 years, IS4S personnel have developed weapon concepts, agent-specific diagnostics, novel test procedures, distinctive test fixtures, and innovative analysis techniques. This subject matter expertise contributed to the development of two inventoried agent defeat weapons as well as other promising and ongoing Counter-WMD technologies. IS4S is uniquely suited to support the entire life-cycle of an agent defeat technology from conceptual design to laboratory and subscale testing to fielded weapon systems.
IS4S personnel have provided agent defeat expertise for full-scale testing of weapon concepts.
